Ätherische Klänge
Wer da meint, einer Harfe seien nur klassische Klänge zu entlocken, wird von der
Wiener Harfenistin Monika Stadler schnell eines Besseren belehrt. Auf ihrer
brandneuen CD "Song for the Earth" stellt die international renommierte Musikerin
neben der eigenen Virtuosität auch die Vielseitigkeit ihres Instruments unter Beweis.
Unterstützt von Georg Ludvik (Cello) und den "Broadlahn"-Musikern Franz Schmuck

One who thinks that a harp only elicits classical sounds, will be quickly taught a
thing or two by Viennese harpist Monika Stadler. On her recent CD release "Song
for the Earth", as well as displaying her own virtuosity, the internationally-
renowned musician proves the versatility of her instrument. Backed-up by Georg
Ludvik (cello), "Broadlahn" musician Franz Schmuck (percussion), and Franz
Ziegerhofer (contrabass) - known for his skewed neo-folk music - Stadler presents
the entirety of her personal world of sound - one that defies categorization. This
can be heard in her fine interweaving of such disparate musical elements as folk,
world music, latin-jazz, classical, improvisation and ancient sounds.
