CREDIT CARDS

We have a merchant account for VISA and Mastercard. Our payment gateway is fully operational. If you are adamant about not typing your credit card number into a computer, please download our PDF credit card application form for you to fill in by hand, to fax, post or scan & email, however you prefer.

CHEQUES & MONEY ORDERS

Don't have a credit card? You can also pay by certified cheque or world money order. All cheques or money orders should be made out to deposit to the credit of "MULTIBEAT MUSIC" (and NOT Multibeat Records).

BANK TRANSFERS

We can also, in rare cases, with bondable parties, accept bank transfers and wires. We reserve the right to deny this service. Emailing money is also possible - please contact us if you wish to do this.

NO CASH

Do NOT send cash! If you attempt to send cash and it gets lost or stolen before we receive it, you are responsible for the loss, not us.

NO PAYPAL

We do NOT yet offer payments via PayPal.

CURRENCIES

The site offers the viewing of prices in various dominant currencies. You will be billed in Canadian Dollars (CAD). Our other currencies are scaled against the CAD. Since we do not update our currency values every day, we cannot guarantee the accuracy of prices as displayed in non-CAD currencies. Use at your own risk!

ONLINE SECURITY

This site uses a shared server and a legitimate, shared SSL certificate. For this reason, some browsers may report this website as unknown or insecure. Despite these claims, the HTTPS/SSL connection is very secure; all credit card numbers and other important information are sent properly encrypted.

TOO CHICKEN?

If you do not feel comfortable using this secure site for any reason, we can also highly recommend the shopping experience at CD BABY, where we also have a special page dedicated to our compact discs and MP3 downloads. SHOPPING EXPERIENCE

To make sure your card tracks properly, register yourself with our system to create a login account. Add products to your cart, view your card, update your cart, etc. When you are ready to checkout and confirm your order, you will be guided automatically through the checkout/payment/shipping procedure. If you do not register before shopping, you may lose your cart items when you do finally register with the system. In order for you to checkout your order we need you to register as a customer, so we can properly ship the order to you.

After a successful checkout, you will receive two emails - one from our online store confirming that your order has been placed in the system and is underway, and one from our payment gateway (if you chose to pay with credit card), alerting you to the fact that a credit card purchase has been made with your card. If you have any trouble with checking out and finalizing your order please email us.

LARGE ORDERS

If a product appears in the catalog on this web site, it means the product is available or can be custom-built without delay (as there are some handmade items). For products that need assembly or individual care/construction, orders may take a little longer. Please email in advance if ordering large product quantities, to ensure product availability and preparation time.

MUSIC DOWNLOADS

Paid downloads of music files, purchased using a credit card, will experience a delay between credit card purchase and download opportunity. We must manually authorize each credit card purchase for fraud prevention. You will normally receive your download access email within a few hours.

Our MP3 files are: best-sounding encoding, 256 kbps (no VBR), 44.1 kHz, 16 bit, normal stereo (not joint), no smart encoding, high-pass filter 10Hz.

SHIPPING

During the checkout procedure, all shipping costs will be calculated on physical goods included on your order. You will be able to choose how you wish to ship your package. Canada Post's freight prices fluctuate annually, and we will continue to do our best to offer you the most affordable shipping costs available. Keep in mind that the cheapest freight charges are generally the slowest.

Note: we will only ship your order after we have received your full payment. After your payment is received by us, please allow a maximum of 14 days to receive your order, after which you should contact us about it.

REFUNDS

All sales are final. There are no refunds or exchanges for music and merchandise - except on defective merchandise. We will exchange clothing for another size of the same style (where multiple sizes are offered). If you feel you need to make a return, please contact us by email first to avoid disappointment. There are absolutely no refunds or exchanges on unique artworks.

"WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?"

We do not have a physical store. Sorry. Mail order only.


"ONLY VISA & MASTERCARD? WTF?!?!"

For the time being we only accept these two credit cards. We do not accept American Express, Discover, nor any others.


"I JUST PLACED AN ORDER - WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?"

All orders are pulled and prepared for shipping the day the payment is received - we pull orders 7 days a week. The order is then shipped on the next shipping day.


"WHEN WILL MY ORDER SHIP?"

Orders placed before 3 PM EST usually ship the same day they are placed. Orders placed after 3 PM ship the next business day. Occasionally, when we are waiting for stock on an item you ordered, we will hold the order until the item arrives. We will not hold any order longer than 3 days without contacting you. In some cases, the older products require assembly, which can add a few days to the date of your reception of that product.


"WHICH COURIER DO YOU USE?"

We don't like UPS - in our experience, they lose things. We love FEDEX but who can afford that? Generally, we use Canada Post's excellent ExpressPost service or optionally Purolator courier. We often use Canada Post trackable ExpressPost mail if no rush is required. For European destinations we use DHL. We do suggest the extra expense of Fedex shipping and customs brokering services, where customs charges are anticipated to be an issue.


"I NEED MY RECORDS FOR A GIG OR BY A SPECIFIC DATE - HOW CAN I GET THEM ON TIME?"

"WHEN DO YOU GET NEW RECORDS?"

Stock is created and arrives at non-regular intervals. You can keep on top of all the newest releases by subscribing to our mailing list, sent out sporatically.


"WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?"

There is no refund or exchange for music and merchandise - except on defective merchandise. We will exchange clothing for another size of the same style. If you need to make a return, please contact us by email. There are absolutely no refunds or exchanges on unique artworks.


"I BOUGHT A CD AND IT ARRIVED WITHOUT SHRINKWRAPPING. IS IT A NEW PRODUCT?"

We sell only new products. In some cases your products have been custom made to order. We've done you the environmental favour of not shrinkwrapping. Where products ARE shrinkwrapped, please don't stone us.


"WHAT'S WITH THE WEIRD BAGGIE?"

Some of our products ship in special poly-wrap baggies. This plastic is of the very-recyclable variety.


"I ORDERED AN ITEM, BUT DIDN'T RECEIVE IT. WHAT HAPPENED?"

This never happens. While we make every effort to ensure that every order is shipped in full, on rare occasions, certain items are out of stock or unavailable. You will not be charged for any item that doesn't ship - you will be refunded for the missing items. When out of stock items are encountered, we email the customer immediately. If a package is lost in the mail, we can track the point of loss. If you require further assistance on this point, contact us.


"I PLACED AN ORDER CONTAINING AN IN-STOCK ITEM AND A PRE-ORDER ITEM. WHEN WILL MY ORDER SHIP?"

Your order will ship in two parts. The in-stock items will ship immediately. The pre-order and manufacture-required items will ship on or before the release date indicated in the item details or as soon as they physically exist.


"DOES MULTIBEAT RECORDS HAVE ANYTHING TO DO WITH MULTIBEAT VIBRATORS?"
